Patriotic Song Competition
Children’s Day Celebration – 18 November 2025**
As part of the Children’s Day Celebration organized by the MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with the LIKHA College Union and IQAC, a heartfelt and inspiring Patriotic Song Competition was conducted on 18 November 2025 for the 6th and 7th standard students of the Mahe region.
The competition aimed to instill a sense of national pride, unity, and respect for the country among young students. Participants enthusiastically performed patriotic songs that highlighted themes of freedom, courage, sacrifice, and love for the nation. Their melodious voices and meaningful renditions created an emotionally uplifting atmosphere.
The event witnessed active participation from various schools. Students performed individually, presenting songs with confidence, clarity, and expressive vocal skills. The competition helped develop musical talents while nurturing values of patriotism and cultural appreciation.
Judging criteria included melody, clarity, voice modulation, rhythm, expression, and overall presentation. Each performance reflected the sincerity and dedication of the participants.
The winners of the Patriotic Song Competition were announced during the Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, where they were awarded trophies and certificates.
The event concluded successfully, inspiring students to value their cultural heritage and strengthening the spirit of unity and pride as part of the Children’s Day celebration.
