Spoon Racing Competition

Children’s Day Celebration – 18 November 2025**

As part of the Children’s Day Celebration organized by the MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with the LIKHA College Union and IQAC, an exciting Spoon Racing Competition was conducted on 18 November 2025 for the 6th and 7th standard students of the Mahe region.

The event was held during the afternoon sports session and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. The activity required participants to balance a lemon on a spoon and race steadily towards the finish line without dropping it, testing their concentration, balance, and patience.

Students displayed great enthusiasm and determination as they carefully navigated their way through the track. The competition was filled with fun, laughter, and encouragement from the audience, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. The event also helped students develop fine motor coordination and self-control while enjoying friendly competition.

Judges and volunteers ensured fair play and guided the participants throughout the event. The winners were selected based on speed, balance, and successful completion of the race without dropping the lemon.

The winners of the Spoon Racing Competition were honoured with trophies and certificates during the Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

The event concluded successfully, adding joy and excitement to the Children’s Day Celebration and encouraging students to participate in playful, skill-building activities.
