The Nadan Pattu Competition was organized as part of KALAIMA 2K26, the Fine Arts Festival of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, on Day 1 under Stage 1 from 11:25 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The competition celebrated the rich folk music traditions of Kerala and provided students with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents through vibrant group performances.
The participating teams enthusiastically presented traditional folk songs that reflected the cultural heritage, customs, and rural life of Kerala. Their performances were enriched by melodious singing, rhythmic coordination, expressive presentation, and energetic teamwork. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the lively atmosphere created by the participants, making the event one of the cultural highlights of the festival.
The teams were evaluated by the judges based on vocal quality, rhythm, harmony, authenticity, stage presentation, coordination, and overall performance.
