Cricket Competitions and Best Player Awards

As part of the Sports Meet 2026, the Men's and Women's Cricket Competitions were organized with great enthusiasm, providing an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their cricketing skills, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. The matches were played in a highly competitive yet friendly atmosphere, attracting enthusiastic participation and support from students and faculty members.
The participating teams displayed remarkable coordination, strategic planning, and determination throughout the tournament. After a series of exciting matches, Vanguard and Power Panthers emerged as the joint winners of the Men's Cricket Competition, while Turbo Titans and Shadow Strikers secured the joint runners-up positions. The tournament showcased exceptional talent and reflected the spirit of unity, discipline, and healthy competition among the participants.
Special recognition was given to individual players who delivered outstanding performances during the tournament. Mr. Samanuay J. S. was honoured with the Best Player (Men's Cricket) award for his exceptional all-round performance, consistency, and valuable contribution to his team's success. Ms. Fathima Misaja received the Best Player (Women's Cricket) award in recognition of her outstanding cricketing skills, leadership, and impressive performance throughout the competition.
The winners and award recipients were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony amidst loud applause from the audience. Their achievements reflected not only individual excellence but also dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the true spirit of the game.
The cricket competitions were among the major highlights of the Sports Meet 2026, fostering teamwork, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship among the student teachers while encouraging them to actively participate in sports and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
