Teaching Practice Observation

As part of the B.Ed. internship programme, a teaching practice observation was conducted at Government Model School, Mahé, Puducherry, on 19 February 2026 at 11:24 AM. The objective of the observation was to understand the teaching-learning process, school infrastructure, and student participation in classroom activities.

The school campus is modern, well-maintained, and provides a highly conducive environment for learning. The infrastructure includes well-designed buildings, spacious classrooms, and accessible facilities such as ramps, indicating an inclusive approach to education. The campus is clean and organized, with greenery and proper arrangements enhancing the overall atmosphere.

During the observation, the teaching-learning process was found to be effective and student-centered. The teacher explained the lesson clearly using simple language, ensuring that students understood the concepts. Students were attentive, disciplined, and actively participated in classroom discussions and activities. The teacher maintained proper classroom management and encouraged interaction through questioning and engagement.

The observation emphasized the importance of effective communication skills, lesson planning, and inclusive teaching strategies. The student-teachers present during the observation maintained professionalism and showed keen interest in learning and improving their teaching practices.

Overall, the observation was a valuable and enriching experience. It provided practical exposure to real classroom situations and helped in developing teaching skills, confidence, and understanding of effective classroom management.
