National Women’s Day Celebration – Speech Competition 2026
Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe
The IQAC, in association with the Ektha College Union and in collaboration with the Asthra Women Cell, organised a Speech Competition on the occasion of National Women’s Day on 13th February 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the Open Hall of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe.
The competition aimed to provide a platform for students to express their thoughts on women’s empowerment, equality, leadership, and the role of women in nation-building. The programme encouraged participants to articulate their ideas confidently while reflecting on the achievements and challenges faced by women in contemporary society.
Students enthusiastically participated in the competition, delivering impactful speeches that highlighted themes such as gender justice, social awareness, education for women, and the importance of self-confidence and independence. The event fostered critical thinking, communication skills, and awareness regarding women’s rights and contributions.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal (MCCTE), who served as the General Co-ordinator. The IQAC Co-ordinator, Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), the Union Co-ordinator, Mr. Vipin K, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), and the Women Cell Co-ordinator, Mrs. Nyji O, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), coordinated the event and ensured its smooth execution.
The celebration concluded successfully, strengthening the spirit of empowerment and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to promoting gender equality and social responsibility among students.
