Teaching Practice Observation
As part of the B.Ed. internship programme, a teaching practice observation was conducted at GVHSS Koduvally, Thalassery, Kerala, on 17 February 2026 at 3:29 PM. The objective of the observation was to understand the school environment, teaching methods, and student participation in classroom activities.
The school campus is well-maintained and provides a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere for learning. The infrastructure is adequate, with properly arranged classrooms, staff rooms, and other necessary facilities. The surroundings were clean and organized, contributing to a positive academic environment.
During the observation, the teaching-learning process was found to be effective and interactive. The teacher explained the lesson clearly using simple language, which helped students understand the concepts easily. Students were attentive, cooperative, and actively involved in classroom activities. The teacher maintained discipline and encouraged student participation through questioning and discussion.
The observation highlighted the importance of proper lesson planning, communication skills, and classroom management techniques. The student-teachers present during the observation maintained professionalism and showed enthusiasm in learning teaching practices.
Overall, the observation was a valuable and enriching experience. It provided practical exposure to real classroom situations and helped in developing teaching skills and confidence.
