 National Women’s Day Programme 2026

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe

The IQAC, in association with the Ektha College Union and in collaboration with the Asthra Women Cell, organised a special Women’s Day Programme on 13th February 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe.

The programme was conducted as part of the National Women’s Day celebrations with the objective of promoting women’s empowerment, confidence, creativity, and leadership among students.

The highlights of the programme included:

  • “When the Music Stops – For Her”, an engaging and interactive activity that added enthusiasm and enjoyment to the celebration while symbolically emphasising the importance of valuing and supporting women.

  • Speech Competition, where students expressed their views on women’s rights, equality, achievements, and the role of women in shaping society.

The event witnessed active participation from students, creating an atmosphere of unity, encouragement, and appreciation for women’s contributions in various fields. The programme not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform for meaningful discussions and awareness regarding gender equality.

The celebration was organised under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal (MCCTE), who served as the General Co-ordinator. The IQAC Co-ordinator, Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), the Union Co-ordinator, Mr. Vipin K, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), and the Women Cell Co-ordinator, Mrs. Nyji O, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), coordinated the event successfully.

The programme concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and empowering academic environment.
