CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY QUIZ

The Quiz Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Consumer Rights Day Quiz on 24th December 2024 at 1:00 PM to raise awareness among students about consumer rights, responsibilities, and the importance of informed decision-making.
The programme began with a welcome address, followed by a brief introduction to National Consumer Rights Day, its significance, and the need for consumer awareness in today’s market-driven world. Students were encouraged to understand legal protections available to consumers and the importance of ethical practices in commerce.
Several teams participated in the quiz, which included a variety of rounds such as:

Participants demonstrated strong analytical skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the competition. The quiz helped students gain insights into real-life issues related to faulty products, misleading advertisements, unfair trade practices, and the procedures for filing consumer complaints.
The Quiz Club coordinators ensured smooth conduct of the quiz with fair scoring and clear instructions. The audience also actively engaged by answering bonus questions and cheering for the teams.
At the end of the competition, the winning team was announced and appreciated for their commendable performance. All participants were acknowledged for their dedication and interest in the topic.
The programme concluded with a message emphasizing the importance of being an aware and responsible consumer, capable of safeguarding personal rights and contributing to ethical market practices.
