The Transgender Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized a Discussion Session on 11 January 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the college campus.

The programme aimed to create awareness and enhance understanding of transgender identities, gender diversity, and the social challenges faced by the transgender community. World Hindi Day

 On Behalf of World Hindi Day The students of Mahe Co-operative College conducted a talk on the topic focusing on the importance of the day it's significant features and on the major programs conducted on the day.

World Hindi Day is indeed celebrated on January 10th every year. This day marks the anniversary of the first World Hindi Conference, which was held in Nagpur, India on January 10, 1975 The conference aimed to promote Hindi as a global language and was inaugurated by then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The day is also significant because it commemorates the first time Hindi was spoken in the United Nations General Assembly in 1949 2. World Hindi Day is celebrated not only in India but also in other countries with Hindi- speaking populations, such as Nepal, Guyana, and Mauritius.

The theme for World Hindi Day 2024 was "Hindi Traditional Knowledge and Bridging Artificial Intelligence" 2. The day is celebrated with various events, including literary programs, language competitions, and cultural events, to promote the use and appreciation of Hindi worldwide.

The programme began with a welcome address, followed by an introduction explaining the relevance of National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. His messages on strength, character, service, and self-belief were highlighted as guiding principles for today’s youth.

As part of the celebration, the Eco Club organized various meaningful activities, including:

1. Inspirational Talk

A faculty member delivered an enlightening session on the life and ideas of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing his vision of youth as catalysts of social and national progress. The discussion also connected his teachings to contemporary issues such as environmental care and sustainable development.

2. Youth Pledge

CONDUCTED BY THE IT CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE

The IT Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized an E-Waste Connect Programme on 10 January 2025 at 11:00 AM in the college campus. The programme aimed to create awareness among student teachers about the growing concerns related to electronic waste and to promote responsible disposal and recycling practices.

The session began with an introductory address by the club coordinators, who highlighted the environmental hazards caused by improper e-waste management. They emphasized the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling electronic materials to ensure a sustainable future.

The resource person conducted an informative session explaining the types of e-waste, their harmful effects on health and the environment, and the need for scientific disposal methods. Students were made aware of the lifecycle of electronic products and encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices such as responsible consumption, safe disposal, and participation in recycling drives.

As part of the programme, an e-waste collection drive was also initiated on the campus. Students and faculty members contributed by depositing old mobile phones, chargers, damaged electronic accessories, and other unusable devices. The collected items were sorted and prepared for safe disposal through authorized recyclers.

NRI day was celebrated on 9 January 2025 by Mathematics department. Athira Sunil delivered a speech on the topic of importance of celebrating NRI Day in morning assembly. She highlights to remember the favours and contributions made by Non - Resident Indians to the welfare and development of the action, its history, and also about the Sushma Swaraj Bhavan, previously known as Pravasi Bharathiya Kendra.

The challenge was designed as a ten-day continuous fitness programme in which participants performed guided Zumba sessions every day. The event began with an orientation on the benefits of Zumba, the rules of the challenge, and safety guidelines to ensure smooth participation.

Throughout the ten days, students actively took part in the rhythmic and energetic Zumba routines led by the instructor. Each session featured a combination of warm-up exercises, cardio movements, dance steps, and cool-down stretches. Participants displayed great enthusiasm, dedication, and improvement in their performance as the challenge progressed.

National Technology Day on January 6th recognizes how technology changes the world and looks to the future of technology. Each year, from the wheel to smartphones, the day honors technological achievements that impact our daily lives.National Technology Day recognizes the achievements of technology what is as done for us and those who have contributed to its advancement-and lookstoitsfuture, promoting the sparking of new innovations and breakthroughs. It was created by AXEL, formerly known as StoAmigo, a technology-focused software company located in Las Vegas. They created the day because of their passion for technology and how it can improve lives around the world. The holiday is celebrated by those who feel that technology is an important part of theirlives. Observants areto encourageand support each otherin theireffortsto find breakthroughs in technology in order to change the world. If you have any ideas related to technology, you are to talk to others about then and to find ways to bring them to fruition. The programme began with a brief introduction to bird watching as an educational and recreational activity. Students were informed about the importance of birds in maintaining ecological balance and the need to protect their habitats.

Under the guidance of faculty coordinators, participants explored the college surroundings and nearby natural areas to observe different species of birds. Students were introduced to:

• Observation skills such as noting size, colour patterns, calls, and behaviour

A thought-provoking drama was performed by students, depicting themes such as:
