International Women's Day is celebrated annually on 8 March. It offers an opportunity to reflect on progress made to call for change, and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. The 2024 Women's Day will focus on the theme, 'Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment'.
As a part of the celebration, Mahe Co Operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe has celebrated the international women's day on 11th March 2024 by presenting a movie named 'CODA'- The movie of a teenage girl in a marginalised family. The movie presentation start at 02:30 pm at college auditorium.
