GROUP SONG COMPETITION

The Music Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Group Song Competition on 8th March 2024 at 11:30 AM with the objective of promoting teamwork, musical expression, and appreciation for vocal harmony among students. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their singing talents while fostering coordination, rhythm, and creativity.
The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by a brief introduction highlighting the importance of group singing as a form of collective artistic expression. Several teams participated, each presenting songs of their choice from genres such as patriotic, devotional, classical, and folk music. The performances reflected careful preparation, vocal balance, and enthusiastic collaboration.
Participants demonstrated strong musical understanding, including pitch accuracy, rhythm control, and expressive singing. The audience enjoyed the performances, appreciating the variety of musical styles and the harmonious blending of voices. The competition created a lively and uplifting atmosphere, celebrating music’s power to bring people together.
A panel of judges evaluated the groups based on criteria such as melody, synchronization, clarity of lyrics, stage presence, creativity, and overall musical impact. The judges commended the students for their confidence, teamwork, and dedication to delivering meaningful performances.
The programme concluded with the announcement of the winning group and words of appreciation from the coordinators. Students were encouraged to continue exploring their musical abilities and to participate actively in club activities.
