International Women’s Day Celebration – Collage Making Competition

The IQAC in association with ASTHRA Women’s Cell of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a Collage Making Competition as part of the International Women’s Day Celebration. The programme was conducted on 4 March at 1:30 PM in the College Auditorium.

The competition aimed to create awareness about the importance of women’s empowerment, gender equality, and the contributions of women in society. Students enthusiastically participated in the event and expressed their ideas and perspectives through creative collage artworks using newspapers, magazines, and other materials. The activity encouraged students to think critically about women’s roles and achievements while also promoting artistic creativity.

Participants presented meaningful and visually appealing collages highlighting themes such as women’s strength, equality, empowerment, and social change. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and reflect on the significance of International Women’s Day.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. Mr. Arun U., Assistant Professor, MCCTE, acted as the IQAC Coordinator. The event was also coordinated with the support of Mr. Vipin K., Assistant Professor, MCCTE, as the Union Coordinator, and Mrs. Niji O., Assistant Professor, as the Women’s Cell Coordinator.

The competition was successful in promoting awareness about women’s rights and empowerment while encouraging creativity and active participation among students. The event added meaningful value to the celebration of International Women’s Day on the campus.
