Webinar Series – Faculty Session 1
The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, organized a webinar as part of its Webinar Series – Faculty Session 1 on 27th March 2026 at 9:30 AM in the College Auditorium. The session focused on the theme “Philosophical Perspectives and Pedagogical Relevance of Vedanta, Jainism, and Buddhism.”
The resource person for the session was Ms. NYJI O, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. She delivered an insightful and engaging presentation highlighting the core philosophical ideas of Vedanta, Jainism, and Buddhism and their relevance in modern educational practices. The session emphasized values such as non-violence, ethical living, self-realization, and critical thinking, drawing connections between ancient Indian philosophies and contemporary pedagogy.
Ms. NYJI O elaborated on how these philosophies can be integrated into teaching-learning processes to promote holistic development among learners. She discussed the importance of value-based education and encouraged educators to adopt reflective and student-centered approaches inspired by these philosophical traditions.
