National Science Day – Digital Poster Making Competition
In connection with National Science Day, Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, organized a Digital Poster Making Competition under the initiative of IQAC in association with the Science Club. The competition aimed to promote scientific awareness, creativity, and digital skills among students while highlighting the role of women in scientific development.
The theme of the competition was “Women in Science Catalysing Viksit Bharath.” Students were invited to design creative digital posters that showcased the contributions of women scientists and their role in the development of a progressive and self-reliant India. The competition encouraged participants to reflect on the importance of gender equality in scientific fields and to appreciate the achievements of women in science and technology.
Participants enthusiastically prepared digital posters using various creative tools and software. The posters effectively depicted inspiring women scientists, scientific innovations, and the importance of women’s participation in shaping the future of science and technology. The competition also helped students develop their creativity, digital literacy, and awareness of contemporary scientific themes.
The last date for submission of entries was 3 March 2026, and the participants submitted their posters through the designated WhatsApp number provided by the organizers.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, acted as the IQAC Coordinator. The competition was coordinated by Ms. Aneesha TP, Assistant Professor and Science Club Coordinator, with the support of Student Coordinators Akshaya TM and Anamika PP.
The National Science Day Digital Poster Making Competition successfully created an opportunity for students to express their ideas creatively and to recognize the significant contributions of women in science. The event also inspired students to value scientific thinking and innovation for building a developed nation.
