Quiz Competition – International Women’s Day Celebration
The IQAC in association with ASTHRA Women Cell of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a Quiz Competition as part of the International Women’s Day Celebration on 10 March 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the College Auditorium.
The objective of the quiz competition was to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness about women’s achievements, gender equality, social issues, and important milestones related to women’s empowerment. The competition encouraged students to actively engage in learning about the contributions of women in various fields such as science, literature, politics, sports, and social reform.
Students participated enthusiastically in the quiz, which included a variety of rounds covering topics related to women’s history, notable personalities, and contemporary issues concerning women’s rights. The event created an interactive and competitive atmosphere, allowing participants to test their knowledge while also learning new information.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. Mr. Arun U., Assistant Professor, acted as the IQAC Coordinator. The event was also supported by Mr. Vipin K., Assistant Professor, as the Union Coordinator, and Mrs. Niji O., Assistant Professor, as the Women Cell Coordinator.
The quiz competition was informative and engaging, successfully promoting awareness about women’s contributions and achievements. It added an intellectual and interactive dimension to the International Women’s Day celebrations and encouraged active participation among students.
