MEHENDI CONTEST (MEHQUEEN 2K26)
The IQAC, in association with the Ektha College Union of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, organized a Mehendi competition titled “Mehqueen 2K26” as part of its co-curricular and cultural enrichment activities. The event aimed to encourage creativity, aesthetic expression, and appreciation of traditional art forms among students.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the General Co-ordinator Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, with Mr. Arun U (Assistant Professor) serving as the IQAC Co-ordinator and Mr. Vipin K (Assistant Professor) as the Union Co-ordinator. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, showcasing a wide variety of intricate and innovative mehendi designs.
Participants demonstrated exceptional skill, creativity, and precision in their work. The competition provided a platform for students to exhibit their artistic talents and cultural awareness. The judging criteria included design complexity, neatness, originality, and overall presentation.
The winners of the Mehendi competition are as follows:
- First Prize: Rinsha Sherin & Fazna Faizal
- Second Prize: Fathimath Saja & Yesda P
- Third Prize: Fathima Misaja & Nandana K Krishna
The winners were congratulated for their outstanding performance, and all participants were appreciated for their active involvement and enthusiasm.
The event was a grand success, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation among students while strengthening the spirit of participation and healthy competition within the institution.
