“Understanding Statistical Measures.”

 

 Webinar Series – Faculty Session 2

The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, organized the second session of its Faculty Webinar Series on the topic “Understanding Statistical Measures.” The programme was conducted on 30th March 2026 at the College Auditorium.

The session aimed to develop a foundational understanding of statistical concepts among faculty members and teacher trainees. The resource person for the session was Mrs. Padmalekha V M, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, who presented the topic in a clear and engaging manner.

During the session, Mrs. Padmalekha explained key statistical measures such as mean, median, and mode, along with their significance in educational assessment and data interpretation. The session emphasized the practical application of these concepts in classroom evaluation and research activities.

Participants actively engaged in the session, raising questions and participating in discussions that enhanced their understanding of statistical tools. The interactive approach adopted by the resource person made the session more effective and learner-centered.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, who served as the General Coordinator. The session was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Arun U., Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator.

Overall, the session was informative and beneficial, strengthening the statistical knowledge andanalytical skills of the participants
