Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, observed New Year Day 2026 with the theme “New Chapter” through an online programme organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Event Management Club on 01 January 2026 at 9.00 PM via Google Meet.
The programme was organised with the objective of welcoming the New Year in a meaningful manner and motivating students and faculty members to begin the year with renewed optimism, purpose, and commitment. The session encouraged participants to reflect on past experiences and to set positive academic and personal goals for the year ahead.
The programme was conducted under the overall guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. The programme was effectively coordinated by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, in his role as IQAC Coordinator, along with Mr. Vivek T V, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, the Programme Coordinator.
The student coordinators Sneha Parambath and Sona Balachandran played an active role in organising the programme and ensuring smooth conduct of the online session. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, creating a positive and inspiring atmosphere.
The observance of New Year Day 2026 successfully fostered a sense of togetherness, reflection, and motivation among the college community. The programme concluded on a hopeful note, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the institution and its members.
