Hindi Diwas
Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Language Club, organised the observance of Hindi Diwas on 10 January through an online programme conducted via Google Meet at 9.00 p.m. The programme was organised with the objective of promoting awareness about the importance of the Hindi language and encouraging respect for linguistic diversity and cultural heritage.
The observance aimed to highlight the role of Hindi as a unifying language and as an important medium for cultural expression, communication, and national integration. The programme encouraged students to appreciate the richness of Hindi literature and to reaffirm their commitment to preserving and promoting Indian languages. The theme of the programme emphasised the need to keep one’s language alive and vibrant in contemporary society.
The programme was conducted under the overall guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. The event was coordinated by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, as the IQAC Coordinator, and Mr. Harshith Rag V, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, as the Programme Coordinator.
Student coordinators Ms. Arunima N Raj K K and Ms. Athulya K P actively contributed to the organisation and smooth conduct of the programme. Students participated enthusiastically and reflected on the relevance of Hindi in education, administration, and everyday life, as well as the importance of nurturing linguistic pride and inclusivity.
The observance of Hindi Diwas was meaningful and effective in fostering language awareness, cultural appreciation, and national unity among the students, in line with the institution’s commitment to holistic education and quality enhancement.
