National Youth Day Celebration 2026

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2026 in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The programme was organised by the IQAC in association with the Innovation Club through Google Meet at 9:00 p.m.
The celebration aimed to inspire the student community by reflecting on the life, philosophy, and vision of Swami Vivekananda, whose teachings continue to motivate the youth of the nation. The programme highlighted the importance of character building, self-confidence, leadership, and service to society.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal (MCCTE), who served as the General Co-ordinator. The IQAC Co-ordinator, Mr. Arun, Assistant Professor (MCCTE), played a key role in organising the programme. The Programme Co-ordinator was Mr. Nidhin Lal, Assistant Professor (MCCTE).
The student co-ordinators, Fathima Misaja and Nandana K Krishna, actively facilitated the session and ensured smooth conduct of the online event.
The programme served as a platform to remind students of Swami Vivekananda’s message to the youth — to arise, awake, and strive for excellence. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of responsibility and enthusiasm among students to contribute positively to society.
