NATIONAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS DAY

MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, observed National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on 11th January through an online awareness programme conducted via Google Meet at 9:00 p.m. The programme was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with the Discipline Club with the objective of creating awareness among students about the serious social issue of human trafficking.

The programme aimed to sensitize students about the causes, consequences, and preventive measures related to human trafficking. The session highlighted the importance of vigilance, legal awareness, and social responsibility in combating this global issue. Students were encouraged to act as responsible citizens and to spread awareness within society.

Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, served as the General Co-ordinator of the programme and extended her guidance and support for the successful conduct of the event.
Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, acted as the IQAC Co-ordinator, ensuring the smooth organization of the programme.
Mr. Abeesh, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, functioned as the Programme Co-ordinator.

The student co-ordinators, Malavika Gireesh and Snigdha J S, actively coordinated the programme and ensured enthusiastic student participation.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among students to stand against human trafficking and promote awareness about human rights and social justice.
