The Psychology Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Psychology Exhibition on 19th August 2024 at 10:00 AM with the objective of deepening students’ understanding of psychological concepts and providing hands-on exposure to the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes. The exhibition was designed to make learning interactive, engaging, and practically relevant for students.
The programme began with a brief introduction to the significance of psychology in education, personality development, learning, and emotional well-being. Students prepared a wide range of exhibits, including charts, working models, visual displays, and demonstrations that explained psychological processes such as memory, attention, perception, personality traits, motivation, and cognitive development. Exhibits on stress management, learning theories, emotional intelligence, and behaviour modification drew particular interest.
Participants confidently presented their exhibits to faculty members and peers, explaining theories and applications in simple and engaging ways. The interactive nature of the exhibition helped students connect classroom learning with real-life psychological functioning. Visitors actively asked questions and appreciated the clarity and creativity demonstrated by the students.
The exhibition encouraged teamwork, communication skills, and critical thinking among participants. It also created an opportunity for students to understand the relevance of psychology in everyday decision-making, interpersonal relationships, and mental health. By visualizing and demonstrating concepts, students strengthened their understanding and improved their ability to explain psychological ideas effectively.
The programme concluded with appreciation from the coordinators, who commended the participants for their effort, creativity, and scientific approach. The Psychology Exhibition was a meaningful and enriching initiative, reflecting the Psychology Club’s commitment to promoting psychological awareness, experiential learning, and academic excellence among students.
