INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

 August 15

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Mahe Co-Operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, on August 15. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, where the National Flag was proudly hoisted by Mr. Sajith Narayanan. Students, teachers, and staff gathered to witness the moment, singing the National Anthem in unison, filling the air with patriotic spirit. The event reflected the theme highlighted in the Independence Day poster — “Freedom in our mind, faith in our words, pride in our souls. Let us salute our nation!” The college premises were adorned with the tricolour, and the spirit of unity and national pride was evident among all.

Following the flag hoisting, various programmes were held. A patriotic song competition was conducted, where students showcased their love for the nation through melodious and heartfelt performances. This was followed by inspiring speeches delivered by students, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of preserving the values of freedom. The celebration was a memorable occasion that instilled in everyone a renewed commitment towards the progress and unity of our nation.
