TRANSGENDER WALFARE CLUB INAUGURATION
Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education is proud to announce the inauguration of the Transgender Welfare Club. Launched on August 23, 2024, the club is dedicated to promoting inclusivity, awareness, and support for the transgender community. This significant initiative is a testament to the college's commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
The establishment of the club was strongly championed by Principal Dr. Sreelatha K, whose vision for a more equitable campus led to its formation. The club will be guided by its dedicated coordinators: Dr. Sreelatha K as the General Coordinator, Arun U as the IQAC Coordinator, and Nyji O. as the Teacher Coordinator.
Through various awareness programs, support sessions, and educational activities, the Transgender Welfare Club aims to serve as a vital platform for advocacy and understanding. This initiative marks an important step in fostering a campus culture of respect and acceptance for all members of the Mahe Co-operative College community.
