The Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education observed the death anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri in conjunction with National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on 11th January 2024. The event was organized by the Social Science Association and aimed to shed light on the serious issue of human trafficking while honoring the memory of India's former Prime Minister.
As part of the commemoration, the program featured an enlightening talk delivered by Hridya Raj and Swathi Ramesh, which began at 8 PM. Their discussions focused on the importance of raising awareness about human trafficking, its impact on society, and the steps that can be taken to prevent it.
To further engage participants and encourage active involvement, a poster contest on the theme "Stop Human Trafficking" was also conducted. This initiative provided a creative platform for students to express their thoughts and stand against exploitation and injustice.
