MARTYR'S DAY
On January 30, 2024, Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, observed Martyr’s Day with great reverence and significance. The event was organized by the Social Science Association to honor the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and his unparalleled contributions to the nation.
The commemoration featured a special talk delivered by Angitha, which focused on the ideals and legacy of Gandhiji. The session was conducted on January 31, 2024, at 8:00 PM and was well-attended by students and faculty alike. The talk provided insightful reflections on Gandhi's philosophy of non-violence and truth, and how these principles remain relevant in today’s world.
In addition to the talk, a drawing competition was held on the theme “Gandhiji,” offering students an opportunity to express their admiration and understanding of the Father of the Nation through art. The event fostered creativity and deepened awareness among participants about the values Gandhiji stood for.
The program served not only as a tribute but also as a reminder of the responsibility each citizen carries in upholding the ideals that Mahatma Gandhi lived and died for.
