National Bird Day Celebration
On January 5, 2024, Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education celebrated National Bird Day with great enthusiasm and appreciation for the beauty and significance of birds in our ecosystem. The event aimed to create awareness about bird conservation and to instill a sense of responsibility toward preserving avian life among students and faculty members.
The highlight of the celebration was an engaging and informative talk delivered by Alakananda. Her presentation covered various aspects of bird life, including their role in nature, the threats they face, and the steps we can take to protect them. Her words encouraged participants to observe and admire birds more closely and to understand their importance in maintaining ecological balance.
Adding a creative and interactive touch to the event, a photography contest was also organized. Students showcased their talent by capturing stunning images of birds in their natural habitats. The contest not only promoted artistic expression but also encouraged participants to connect more deeply with nature.
