Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe
Date: 23 January 2024 | Time: 2:30 PM

The Guidance and Counselling Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted a Stress Management Session on 23 January 2024 at 2:30 PM. The programme was organised with the aim of helping student teachers understand the causes of stress and equipping them with practical techniques to manage it effectively.

The session began with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who highlighted the growing relevance of stress management in the academic and personal lives of students. The resource person initiated the session by explaining the common sources of stress among student teachers, including academic demands, time pressure, personal responsibilities, and emotional challenges.

Participants were introduced to various stress-management strategies such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, positive thinking, physical relaxation techniques, and healthy lifestyle habits. The resource person also provided tips on maintaining emotional balance, improving self-awareness, and seeking help when required.

Interactive activities, guided relaxation exercises, and open discussions enabled students to reflect on their own stress triggers and coping mechanisms. The session created a supportive environment where participants freely shared their experiences and learned effective ways to handle stressful situations.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation and for making the session meaningful and beneficial.
