Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education observed Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, also known as NRI Day, with great respect and enthusiasm. The event was held in recognition of the valuable contributions made by Non-Resident Indians to the development of the country and to celebrate their enduring connection with their roots. The program took place on the ninth of January in the evening.
The event featured a thoughtful and engaging talk by Amrutha Asok, who shed light on the importance of the Indian diaspora and their influence across the globe. Her address helped participants understand the significance of the day and inspired them to appreciate the global impact of Indians living abroad.
As part of the celebration, a quiz competition was organized by Drishya. The quiz added an interactive and fun dimension to the program, allowing participants to test and enhance their knowledge about India’s global connections, notable personalities, and cultural heritage.
The event successfully created awareness about the significance of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and provided an engaging platform for learning and interaction. The contributions of the organizing team and the enthusiastic participation of the students ensured the success of the program.
