The Physics Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted an Essay Writing Competition on 28 February 2024 at 3:00 PM. The event was organised with the objective of encouraging students to express their understanding of physics concepts through creative and analytical writing.

The programme began with a brief introduction by the club coordinator, who emphasized the importance of scientific writing in developing critical thinking and communication skills. Students were provided with physics-related themes such as emerging technologies, the impact of physics in everyday life, renewable energy, space science, and the contributions of great physicists.

Participants enthusiastically engaged in writing, showcasing their ability to analyse scientific ideas, connect them with real-world applications, and articulate their thoughts coherently. The competition helped students enhance their conceptual clarity as well as their writing proficiency.

Faculty members evaluated the essays based on clarity of content, originality, relevance to the topic, logical flow, and presentation. The event encouraged students to explore physics beyond textbooks and strengthened their confidence in academic writing.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the support of the principal, faculty members, coordinators, and all participants. The essay writing competition was successful in promoting scientific literacy, creativity, and appreciation for physics among student teachers.
