National Science Day Celebration

The Chemistry Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, celebrated National Science Day on 28 February 2024 at 3:00 PM in the college campus. The programme was organized to honour the contributions of Indian scientists and to promote scientific learning among student-teachers.
As part of the celebration, a Chemistry Quiz Competition was conducted, providing a platform for students to test and enhance their knowledge of fundamental chemical concepts, scientists’ contributions, laboratory safety, and real-life applications of chemistry. The competition aimed to cultivate curiosity, teamwork, and scientific thinking.
Several teams participated enthusiastically, answering questions across multiple rounds such as basic chemistry, applied chemistry, rapid-fire questions, and scientific discoveries. The quiz created an engaging and competitive atmosphere, encouraging students to think critically and respond promptly.
Faculty members appreciated the active participation of students and highlighted the importance of National Science Day in promoting scientific awareness and innovation. The event concluded with the announcement of winners and a vote of thanks.
The celebration successfully enriched the scientific spirit among the student-teachers, making National Science Day a meaningful and inspiring occasion at MCCTE Mahe.
