 First Aid Awareness Programme

The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Government Middle School, Mahe, organised a First Aid Awareness Programme under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The session was held on September 12, 2025, at 03:30 p.m. in the premises of Government Middle School, Mahe.

The resource person for the programme was Ms.Anjana. O. K, a Second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE. She conducted an engaging and informative session on the importance of first aid and the basic procedures to be followed during medical emergencies such as cuts, burns, fainting, and fractures.

The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about first aid measures and to equip them with the knowledge to handle minor injuries and emergencies effectively. The session emphasized the importance of remaining calm during accidents and taking immediate, appropriate actions to save lives before professional medical help arrives.

The programme was coordinated under the guidance of:

ICT INTEGRATION SESSION

 ICT INTEGRATION SESSION

An ICT Integration session was conducted on 12 September 2025 at 3:00 PM by a team of five members: Vijnandas K.P, Abhiram Murali K, Snigdha A.V, Archana R, and Anusmaya G.S. The purpose of the session was to enhance the teaching–learning process by integrating Information and Communication Technology into classroom activities.

During the session, the students were introduced to various digital tools and learning platforms. Demonstrations were given on how ICT can be used to access information, present learning materials, and improve understanding of different subjects. Multimedia presentations and educational videos were used to make the session more interactive and engaging. Students actively participated and showed interest in using technology for learning.

The programme helped students become more familiar with ICT tools and encouraged them to apply technology in their studies. It also promoted digital literacy and improved classroom engagement.








MONEY SAVING AWARENESS SESSION

 Awareness Session on Money Saving

Resource Person: Gayathri V. C., 2nd Year B.Ed (English), MCCTE

The session focused on the importance of saving money in everyday life. The resource person stressed the principle: “Do not save what is left after spending; instead, spend what is left after saving.” Worksheets and interactive discussions were used to make the session lively. Students actively participated and reflected on the significance of financial discipline at a young age.




AWARENESS CLASS ON ELECTRIC SHOCK

Venue: AKGSGHSS, Peralassery

Resource Person: Sathwik Pramod, 2nd Year B.Ed English, MCCTE

The awareness class aimed to educate students on the dangers of electric shock and ways to prevent accidents. The session highlighted safety measures, first-aid responses, and responsible use of electricity. Students actively interacted and shared their own experiences, making the session lively. The theme “Don’t let electricity shock your life” served as a powerful reminder.

Outcome: Students gained practical knowledge about electrical safety, which will help them handle such risks responsibly.




REMEDIAL TEACHING

 REMEDIAL TEACHING 

A remedial teaching session was conducted on 12th September 2025 at 1:00 p.m. by Amaya K.V. The main objective of the session was to provide additional support to students who faced difficulties in understanding certain concepts taught in class.

During the session, special attention was given to the students’ individual learning needs. Simple explanations, examples, and reinforcement activities were used to help them grasp the topics clearly. The students were encouraged to ask questions and participate actively.

The session proved to be effective as students showed better understanding and improved confidence in the subject. Overall, the remedial class was successful in bridging the learning gaps and enhancing student performance.





REMEDIAL TEACHING-AMAYA K V

 The remedial teaching session was conducted by Amaya K.V on 24/09/2025 at 10:45 a.m. to provide additional support for students who required clarification and practice in specific areas of learning. The session included revision of key concepts, simplified explanations with examples, individual attention, and practice activities. The students actively participated, clarified their doubts, and showed improvement in understanding. The class was effective in addressing learning gaps, and with continued support, the students are expected to perform better in the coming days

The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Government Middle School, Mahe, organised a Personal Hygiene Awareness Programme under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). She delivered an informative and interactive session focusing on the importance of maintaining personal hygiene for a healthy and confident life.

During the session, Ms. Athira highlighted key aspects of personal hygiene such as cleanliness, proper handwashing techniques, oral hygiene, grooming habits, and menstrual hygiene for girls. She also explained how good hygiene practices help prevent diseases and promote physical and mental well-being.

The session included practical demonstrations and discussions that encouraged active participation from the students.  A Career Guidance Programme was organized by MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCTE) in association with GVHSS Kannur on 12th September 2025 at 9:30 a.m. The session aimed to provide valuable insights into various career opportunities and help students make informed choices about their future paths.The resource person for the session was Navanya P.P, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCTE. She delivered an engaging and informative session, focusing on different career options available for science stream students She explained the scope of higher studies in science, professional courses, and emerging career trends in research and technology.The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and clarifying their doubts. The resource person also motivated students to identify their interests and plan their careers accordingly. The programme was well-coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCTE) Ms. Revathy M (IQAC Co-ordinator, MCTE) and Ms. Rindhu (Principal,GVHSS Kannur) The session concluded with positive feedback from the students, who found it both inspiring and informative

 The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Govt. Middle School, Mahe, organised an Energy Conservation Awareness Programme on 12th September 2025 at 11.30 a.m. The programme was aimed at spreading awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy and adopting sustainable practices in daily life.

The session was led by Ms. Anjana O. K., a second-year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who served as the resource person. She effectively highlighted the need for energy conservation, simple methods for reducing wastage, and the role of young learners in promoting eco-friendly initiatives. Her presentation was engaging and encouraged active participation from the students of Govt. Middle School.

 Personal Hygiene Awareness Programme

On September 12, 2025, the MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in association with MUMVHSS Vadakara, hosted a Personal Hygiene Awareness Programme.

The session was successfully led by Ms. Arathi. M, a second-year B.Ed student from MCCTE. The programme aimed to sensitize students at MUMVHSS Vadakara to the fundamental principles and importance of maintaining good personal hygiene for a healthy lifestyle.

Organized under the auspices of the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) of MCCTE, the initiative served as a practical demonstration of community outreach and effective knowledge transfer by the B.Ed trainees.

 The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, continuing its series of impactful initiatives, organized an Energy Conservation Awareness Programme on September 17, 2025, in collaboration with MUMVHSS Vadakara. This vital event, spearheaded by MCCTE's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), took place at 10:00 AM and focused on promoting sustainable practices and educating attendees on the critical importance of reducing energy consumption. The programme was skillfully led by the resource person, Saniya Suresh Babu, a 2nd year B.Ed student from MCCTE, whose expertise demonstrated the institution’s success in cultivating environmentally conscious future educators. Saniya provided practical insights and actionable strategies for conserving energy both in school environments and personal lives. The entire successful collaboration was overseen by the dedicated coordination team: Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE) served as the General Coordinator, Ms. Revathy M (Ass. Prof, MCCTE) was the IQAC Coordinator, and Mr. Farook (MUMVHSS, Vadakara) managed the local logistics as the Programme Coordinator. This initiative successfully fulfilled its aim of fostering greater environmental responsibility among the participants and the wider community



SCHOOL BAEUTIFICATION

 

 SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAMME

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in association with JNGHSS, Mahe, organized a School Beautification Programme on 18 September 2025 at 4:00 PM.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, cleanliness, and aesthetic enhancement among students. It also sought to provide hands-on experience in maintaining a green and healthy school environment.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. Vyas Jagadeesh and Ms. Diya Sudhakaran, both 2nd Year English student-teachers of MCCTE, who actively led the beautification activities. The tasks included cleaning the school premises, planting saplings, removing unwanted weeds, and arranging garden spaces to improve the overall ambience of the school campus.

The programme was conducted under the guidance and support of:

            The coordinators, Mr. Vyas Jagadeesh and Ms. Diya Sudhakaran, led the activities enthusiastically with the help of students and staff members. The programme encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and a sense of pride among students toward their school environment.

“Healthy Periods, Healthy Life.”

 

Session IV of the One Day Seminar was led by Dr. Yogapriya, House Surgeon, RGAMC&H, Mahe, on the topic “Healthy Periods, Healthy Life.” The session aimed to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene and the overall impact of menstrual health on a woman’s well-being.

Dr. Yogapriya highlighted the importance of maintaining proper hygiene, understanding menstrual disorders, and adopting a balanced lifestyle. The talk also addressed myths and taboos associated with menstruation, encouraging open discussions.

The session was informative and interactive, engaging the participants in meaningful dialogue. It was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, MCCTE, and Ms. Revathy Madhusoodanan, Assistant Professor & IQAC Coordinator.



Electric Shock Awareness Programme

 The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), 

Mahe, organized a critical Electric Shock Awareness Programme on 

September 11, 2025, at 3:30 pm. The event, a collaborative effort 

between the college's IQAC and KRHSS Purameri, was held to educate 

participants on the risks associated with electricity and impart essential 

knowledge on prevention, safety procedures, and initial response 

protocols in the event of an electric shock. The programme was led by 

Ms. Krishna Theertha B R , who served as the Resource Person, 

providing vital information to enhance electrical safety consciousness 

among the attendees. The initiative also included an important message promoting the conservation of electricity to "preserve the earth for 

future generations."

The programme's execution was guided by a dedicated team of 

coordinators from both institutions. Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, 

MCCTE) served as the General Coordinator, overseeing the entire 

event. The responsibilities of the IQAC Coordinator were managed by

Ms. Revathi M (Asst. Prof., MCCTE). The on-site logistics and inter-

institutional coordination were handled by Ms. Shyny K (Head Master, 

KRHSS) in her role as the Programme Coordinator, ensuring that this 

crucial safety awareness session was conducted smoothly and 

effectively.





"HEALTHY PERIODS,HEALTHY LIFE"

 Session IV of the One Day Seminar focused on the topic “Healthy Periods, Healthy Life”, delivered by Dr. Ritwa, House Surgeon at RGAMC&H, Mahe. The session emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene, early detection of menstrual health issues, and the impact of lifestyle on reproductive well-being.

Dr. Ritwa offered practical advice on maintaining good hygiene, proper nutrition, and recognizing signs of menstrual disorders. The session was interactive and informative, encouraging participants to adopt a positive and healthy approach toward menstruation.

"BREAKING THE SILENCE:UNDERSTANDING MENSTRUAL HEALTH"

 


As part of the One Day Seminar series conducted on 11th September 2025, the third session titled “Breaking the Silence: Understanding Menstrual Health” addressed the crucial need for open conversations around menstruation and reproductive health.

The session was led by Dr. Tharani, House Surgeon at RGAMC&H, Mahe, who passionately engaged the audience on the topic of menstrual health awareness, its biological basis, and its importance in fostering well-being and confidence among adolescent girls and women.

Dr. Tharani stressed how silence and stigma surrounding menstruation often lead to misinformation, poor hygiene practices, and psychological stress. The session aimed to eliminate these barriers by promoting a healthy, fact-based understanding of the menstrual cycle and hygiene practices. The speaker also addressed how cultural taboos and societal expectations continue to limit discussions around menstruation and emphasized the role of teachers in breaking this silence in schools and communities.

The audience, comprising student-teachers and faculty members, responded with deep interest. Many expressed that the session gave them a new perspective on how to approach the topic sensitively yet assertively in their future classrooms.
