The IT Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe celebrated National Technology Day on 11 May 2025 at 9:00 AM to commemorate India’s technological achievements and to promote awareness about advancements in science and technology among students.
The programme began with a welcome address by the IT Club coordinator, who shared the significance of National Technology Day, marking India’s technological progress and innovation. The session highlighted the importance of integrating technology into education and preparing future teachers to adapt to rapidly changing digital environments.
As part of the celebration, an informative session was conducted on recent developments in technology, including artificial intelligence, digital learning tools, cybersecurity, and emerging innovations in the educational sector. Students were encouraged to think critically about the role of technology in modern classrooms and society.
Interactive discussions allowed participants to share their views on how technology can enhance teaching–learning processes. A short presentation by members of the IT Club showcased various digital tools and applications useful for teachers. The event also featured a quiz segment and demonstration of technology-based learning resources.
Students actively participated in the programme, showing keen interest in learning about new technologies and their practical uses. The session helped them understand the relevance of technological skills in their academic and professional growth.
The celebration concluded with feedback from students and appreciation remarks from faculty members, who congratulated the IT Club for organising an informative and inspiring event.
