VENDOR INTERACTION PRACTICE SESSION CONDUCTED BY EVENT MANAGEMENT CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Event Management Club of MCCTE, Mahe conducted an informative and skill-enhancing Vendor Interaction Practice Session on 9 May 2025 at 11:45 AM in the college campus. The session was organized with the aim of equipping student-teachers with practical knowledge on communicating effectively with vendors, managing event resources, and understanding the logistics involved in event planning.
The programme began with an introduction by the club coordinators, who highlighted the importance of vendor management as a key component of successful event organization. Students were briefed on essential skills such as negotiation, budgeting, requirement clarification, and professional communication.
During the session, participants engaged in simulated vendor interaction activities where they practiced discussing event needs, seeking quotations, comparing options, and making appropriate decisions. These hands-on exercises helped students gain confidence in handling real-life event situations.
The coordinators and faculty members provided constructive feedback on communication style, clarity, negotiation strategies, and decision-making.
