B.Ed. Orientation Programme – Session 6
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organised Session 6 of the B.Ed. Orientation Programme titled “Association Activities, Understanding the Self & P.T.A.” on 13 August 2026 at the College Auditorium.
The session was organised to familiarise the newly admitted B.Ed. students with various association activities of the college and the importance of active participation in co-curricular and institutional programmes. The session also focused on self-understanding and the role of self-awareness in the personal and professional development of prospective teachers.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Nithin Lal V., Assistant Professor, MCCTE. He provided the students with useful guidance on participating in association activities and encouraged them to make effective use of the opportunities available in the institution. The session also highlighted the importance of understanding one's strengths, interests, responsibilities and areas for personal improvement.
The role and significance of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) were also discussed. The students were made aware of the importance of cooperation and communication among students, teachers and parents in creating a supportive academic environment.
The session was informative and interactive, enabling the students to gain a better understanding of student participation, self-awareness and the role of the PTA in institutional development.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, MCCTE, and coordinated by Mr. Arun U., IQAC Co-ordinator and Assistant Professor, MCCTE.
