B.Ed ORIENTATION PROGRAMME – “EDUGENESIS”
B.Ed Orientation Programme for First-Year B.Ed Students
The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, organised a B.Ed Orientation Programme titled “EDUGENESIS” for the First-Year B.Ed students on 10 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the College Auditorium.
The programme was organised with the objective of providing newly admitted B.Ed students with a meaningful orientation to their professional journey and helping them develop a positive and confident outlook towards teacher education. The session also focused on the importance of psychological well-being, motivation, interpersonal skills and personal development in the teaching profession.
The programme featured Mr. Nithin Nangoth, Counselling Psychologist, Sports Psychologist, International Celebrity Mentor and International Humour Columnist, as the resource person. Through an engaging and interactive session, he addressed the students on various aspects of personal growth, emotional well-being, confidence building and the development of a positive attitude. His experiences and insights encouraged the students to approach their B.Ed programme with enthusiasm, self-confidence and a sense of professional responsibility.
The session provided an opportunity for students to interact with the resource person and reflect on the qualities and competencies required of a successful teacher. The lively presentation and practical perspectives made the orientation session informative, engaging and motivating for the participants.
The programme was conducted under the general coordination of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, MCCTE, with Mr. Arun U., Assistant Professor and IQAC Co-ordinator, serving as the IQAC Co-ordinator. The programme marked a significant beginning for the First-Year B.Ed students, helping them understand that teacher education is not merely an academic programme but also a journey of personal, social and professional transformation.
Conclusion
The EDUGENESIS B.Ed Orientation Programme successfully created a positive and inspiring beginning for the new batch of B.Ed students. The session contributed to their motivation, confidence and overall preparedness for the challenges and opportunities of teacher education.
