World Malaria Day

WORLD MALARIA DAY

VENUE: assembly

On April 25, 2024, the Department of Biological Science at Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education organized a special morning assembly to commemorate World Malaria Day.

This event aimed to raise awareness about malaria prevention and control among students and faculty members.

The assembly featured an informative presentation detailing the causes, symptoms, and prevention methods of malaria. Emphasis was placed on the importance of eliminating mosquito breeding sites and the use of protective measures such as insecticide-treated nets.

Students actively participated by presenting posters and delivering speeches that highlighted the global impact of malaria and the steps individuals can take to prevent its spread.

The assembly concluded with a call to action, urging everyone to engage in community efforts aimed at reducing malaria transmission and supporting public health initiatives.
