The Drama Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Drama Workshop on 22nd April 2024 at 11:00 AM with the objective of enhancing students’ theatrical skills, creativity, and confidence in stage performance.
The programme began with a welcome address, followed by a brief introduction to the purpose of the workshop. The resource person explained the importance of drama in education, emphasizing how theatre helps in self-expression, communication, teamwork, and emotional development.
The workshop included interactive sessions focusing on:

Short role-play exercises
Students actively participated in each activity, showing enthusiasm and interest. The hands-on exercises helped them explore their creativity, overcome stage fear, and develop confidence in performing before an audience.
The instructor also shared valuable tips on script interpretation, character building, and maintaining audience engagement, making the session highly enriching and practical.
The workshop concluded with a short performance by participants, where they applied the techniques learned during the session. The audience appreciated their efforts, and the resource person provided constructive feedback and encouragement.
