The Dance Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, celebrated International Dance Day on 29 April 2025 at 3:30 PM with great enthusiasm and artistic spirit. The event aimed to promote cultural expression, encourage creativity, and highlight the significance of dance as a powerful medium of communication and emotional expression.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the club coordinator, who expressed the importance of celebrating International Dance Day as a tribute to the rich traditions of dance across the world. The inaugural message emphasised how dance enhances physical well-being, confidence, and cultural appreciation among students.
As part of the celebration, students performed a variety of dance forms, including classical, folk, contemporary, and thematic performances. Each presentation showcased grace, rhythm, teamwork, and creativity. The performances not only entertained the audience but also highlighted the diversity and cultural richness of different dance styles.
