The Physical Science Department of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education successfully organized an event on National Energy Conservation Day, observed on 14th December, to emphasize the critical importance of energy conservation and sustainable living.
The event began with a talk by Aiswarya M, who eloquently highlighted the current energy challenges and stressed on adopting energy-efficient practices in daily life. Her speech was both enlightening and thought-provoking, inspiring students to adopt simple yet impactful conservation habits.
The program featured an interactive segment called EC Charades, where participants creatively expressed energy conservation concepts through a fun and educational game format. It engaged the audience while reinforcing key messages related to renewable energy and responsible consumption.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Sustainability Pledge, where students and faculty members committed themselves to conserving energy and promoting eco-friendly practices.
The theme “Saving energy TODAY will make TOMORROW bright” was clearly reflected in every part of the event, which was both informative and motivational.
