“PLAN A DREAM TRIP” ACTIVITY

The Tour Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted an engaging and creative activity titled “Plan a Dream Trip” on 29th July 2024 at 10:30 AM with the objective of enhancing students’ planning skills, creativity, teamwork, and geographical awareness. The programme was designed to encourage students to explore their travel interests while practically applying budgeting, scheduling, and destination planning skills.
The programme began with a brief introduction explaining the purpose of the activity and the importance of travel planning as a life skill. Students were divided into small groups and instructed to design a complete plan for their dream trip, including destination selection, travel routes, accommodation, budget estimation, food planning, tourist attractions, and safety measures.
Each group worked collaboratively to prepare their trip plan using charts and creative presentations. Students selected a wide variety of destinations including hill stations, heritage cities, beaches, and international tourist spots. The presentations reflected thorough planning, creativity, and good coordination among team members.
Students confidently presented their travel plans before the audience, explaining their itinerary, transport arrangements, budget management, and sightseeing schedules. The activity helped students improve their communication skills, decision-making ability, research skills, and teamwork. Faculty members appreciated the students for their originality and practical approach to planning.
The programme created an enthusiastic and joyful learning atmosphere, encouraging students to dream, explore, and think systematically. Students shared that the activity helped them understand the importance of organized planning and responsible travel.
The programme concluded with words of appreciation from the coordinators, who encouraged students to continue participating in such creative and skill-based activities. The “Plan a Dream Trip” programme was a successful and enriching initiative, reflecting the Tour Club’s commitment to promoting experiential learning, creativity, and collaborative skills among students.
