CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION
The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), in association with AKGSGHSS, Peralassery, organized a Campus Beautification Programme on 24th October 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and to maintain a clean, green, and aesthetically pleasing campus. Students from MCCTE took the lead in organizing and coordinating the event. The coordinators were Vishnupriya A.K. (English), Sathwik Pramod (English), Gayathri V.C. (English), Arsha Shivadas (English), Nandana Vinod (Biological Science), Abhin Raj P.P. (Physical Science), and Revandh K. (Social Science).
The event was conducted successfully under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE and General Coordinator, Ms. Revathy M, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator, and Ms. Susmitha K, Headmistress of AKGSGHSS and Programme Co-ordinator.

The session was strategically overseen by the co-ordinating team: Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, and General Co-ordinator), Ms. Revathy M (Asst. Prof., MCCTE, and IQAC Co-ordinator), and Mr. Ajith Prasad (HM, GMS, and Programme Co-ordinator), ensuring broad relevance and successful execution.

The MAHE Co-Operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Chothavoor H S S, Champad, organized a session on Electric shock on October 24 at 2.30 pm. The resource person for the event was Anjali K K, a 2nd year B.Ed. student from MCCTE. The main objective of this lesson was to help students understand the concept, causes, effects, and preventive measures related to electric short circuits.
During the class, she explained how a short circuit occurs when the electric current flows through an unintended low-resistance path, causing excessive current and heat generation. The difference between a normal circuit and a short circuit was clearly illustrated with diagrams and examples from daily life.
To make the topic more engaging, she demonstrated simple activities using circuit models and safety equipment to show how short circuits can occur and how to prevent them. Students were also introduced to safety devices such as fuses, circuit breakers, and proper wiring techniques.
The students actively participated in the discussion, shared their own experiences with electrical safety at home, and asked several thoughtful questions. The session created awareness about the importance of handling electrical appliances carefully and following safety rules.

presentation emphasized the importance of remaining calm and acting responsibly
during emergency situations. The event was conducted under the general coordination

EARTHQUAKE AWARENESS SESSION
The MAHE Co-Operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Chothavoor H S S, Champad, organized a session on Earth quake on October 24 at 10.30am. The resource person for the event was Arunima S , a 2nd year B.Ed. The main objective of this lesson was to make students understand the causes, effects, and safety measures related to earthquakes.
During the session, she explained the scientific reasons behind the occurrence of earthquakes, including tectonic plate movements and seismic waves. Real-life examples of major earthquakes were discussed to help students relate the concept to real-world events.
To make the class more interesting and engaging, she used visual aids and a short video demonstration showing how earthquakes occur and their impact on the environment. A simple classroom activity was also conducted, where students were asked to prepare a chart on “Dos and Don’ts During an Earthquake.”
