Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, proudly acknowledges and celebrates the remarkable achievement of Ms. Anmary Jose, Second Year English, for her feature appearance on Reporter Live – Coffee with Arun during the Christmas 2025 special programme.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for both the student and the institution, as it reflects the talent, confidence, and communication skills nurtured within the academic and co-curricular environment of MCCTE. Ms. Anmary Jose’s participation in a reputed media platform brought recognition to the college and showcased the capabilities of its student community.

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, observed National Consumer Rights Day through an awareness session and talk organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Legal Awareness Club on 24 December 2025 at 9.00 PM via Google Meet.

The programme aimed to create awareness among student teachers about consumer rights, responsibilities, and the importance of legal literacy in everyday life. The session highlighted the fundamental rights of consumers, common consumer issues, and the role of awareness in preventing exploitation and unfair trade practices. Emphasis was laid on empowering future teachers to disseminate consumer awareness in society.

The programme was organised under the overall guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. The programme was effectively coordinated by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, in his role as IQAC Coordinator, along with Mr. Harshith Rag V, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, the Programme Coordinator.

The student coordinators Shradha and Gopika K actively assisted in organising the programme and ensured smooth conduct of the online session. The programme witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, making the session interactive and informative.

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, observed National Farmers’ Day under the auspices of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Gardening and Organic Farming Club. The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among student teachers about the invaluable contributions of farmers to society and the importance of sustainable and organic farming practices.

The programme was conducted online through Google Meet at 9.00 PM, ensuring active participation of students and faculty members. The session highlighted the role of farmers in ensuring food security, promoting eco-friendly agricultural practices, and sustaining rural livelihoods. Special emphasis was given to organic farming, environmental conservation, and the relevance of agriculture in the contemporary context.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. Declaration of Results – Maths Quiz

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, through the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with the Mathematics Club, successfully conducted a Maths Quiz on 22 December 2025 via Google Meet. As part of the programme, the winners of the quiz were announced and congratulated for their outstanding performance.

The Maths Quiz aimed to enhance students’ logical reasoning, numerical ability, and problem-solving skills while promoting interest in Mathematics. Students from different disciplines actively participated in the competition, making the event engaging and intellectually stimulating.

Based on their performance in the quiz, the following students emerged as winners:

  • First Prize: Sriya, First Year, Physical Science

  • Second Prize: Sneha C K, First Year, English

  • Third Prize: Fathimath Saja T, First Year, English

The programme began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of National Mathematics Day, celebrated in honour of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, and emphasizing the role of Mathematics in developing logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and analytical ability among learners.

The session focused on creating awareness about the relevance of Mathematics in various fields such as science, technology, education, and daily decision-making. Interactive discussions encouraged students to reflect on innovative methods of teaching Mathematics, the application of mathematical concepts in real-life situations, and the importance of nurturing mathematical thinking among school students.

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, congratulates Ms. Fathimath Saja, First Year English, for securing the Winner position in the Cup Game conducted as part of Santa’s Fiesta 2025. The event was organized by the Ektha College Union (2025–26) as part of the Christmas celebrations aimed at fostering joy, unity, and student participation on campus.

Santa’s Fiesta 2025 featured a variety of fun-filled and engaging activities designed to encourage active involvement, teamwork, and a festive spirit among students. The Cup Game was one of the highlight events of the celebration, attracting enthusiastic participation and creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere.

A creative drawing activity was conducted at Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe with the active participation of student teachers. The programme aimed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression among the students while enhancing their teaching skills through engaging classroom activities.

The session began with a brief introduction by the faculty member, who explained the importance of creative activities in teaching and learning. College Union and Fine Arts Inauguration

The College Union and Fine Arts Inauguration of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe was conducted on 17 December 2022 at 10:00 AM in the MCCTE College Auditorium. The programme was organized to formally inaugurate the activities of the College Union and the Fine Arts Club for the academic year and to encourage students to actively participate in cultural and extracurricular activities.

The function was attended by faculty members and students, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere in the auditorium. The inauguration marked the beginning of various student-led activities, cultural programmes, and creative initiatives that aim to nurture the talents and leadership qualities of the students.

The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in collaboration with the Transgender Club, observed Demi-Gender Awareness Day by organizing an awareness session and talk on the significance of the day on 15 December 2025 at 9.00 PM through the Google Meet platform.

The programme was conducted under the general coordination of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE. The IQAC coordination was efficiently managed by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. The programme coordination was undertaken by Ms. Vismaya K K, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. The student coordinators for the programme were Ms. Shradha Sudheer T K and Ms. Gopika K.

The First Year B.Ed. students of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, successfully completed their 15-day School Observation Programme during December 2025 in various Government schools across Mahe and nearby areas.

The observation programme was organized with the objective of providing student teachers practical exposure to real classroom situations, school administration, student behaviour, teaching methodologies, and co-curricular activities. It enabled them to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

During the 15 days, the student teachers:

The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in collaboration with the Energy Club, observed National Energy Conservation Day on 14 December 2025 by organizing a video presentation on energy conservation at 9.00 PM.

The programme was conducted under the general coordination of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE. The IQAC coordination was efficiently handled by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. The programme coordination was undertaken by Ms. Chaithanya P, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. The student coordinators for the programme were Ms. Aiswarya V and Ms. Anusree T. H.

As part of the First Year B.Ed. School Internship Programme, a group of student teachers visited PM SHRI I. K. Kumaran Government Higher Secondary School Pandakkal Mahe. The visit was organised to provide student teachers with practical exposure to the functioning of a higher secondary school and to observe the teaching–learning process in a real classroom environment.

During the visit, the student teachers observed the infrastructure, classroom arrangements, and the academic atmosphere of the institution. The school offers education at the secondary and higher secondary levels and is affiliated with the CBSE curriculum. The institution plays an important role in providing quality education to students in the region.

The interns interacted with the teachers and school authorities to understand the organisational structure of the school, the roles and responsibilities of teachers, and the methods used for effective classroom management. They also gained insights into lesson planning, teaching strategies, and student evaluation practices followed in the school.

The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in collaboration with the Psychology & Guidance Club, observed International Neutrality Day on 12 December 2025 by organizing a video presentation on the significance of the day at 9.00 PM.

The programme was conducted under the general coordination of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE. The IQAC coordination was efficiently handled by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, while the programme coordination was undertaken by Ms. Padmalekha, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. As part of the First Year B.Ed. School Internship Programme, a group of student teachers visited Government Lower Primary School Parakkal Mahe. The purpose of the visit was to provide the student teachers with practical exposure to the functioning of a primary school and to observe the teaching–learning process at the elementary level.

During the visit, the student teachers observed the infrastructure, classroom environment, and the overall functioning of the school. The institution provides primary education to children in the locality and plays an important role in developing the basic learning skills and values among young learners.

The interns interacted with the teachers and school authorities to understand classroom management, teaching strategies, and the use of various teaching aids to make lessons more effective and engaging for students. They also observed the interaction between teachers and students and the methods used to maintain a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.

Overall, the visit to Government Lower Primary School, Parakkal, Mahe was a valuable learning experience for the first-year B.Ed. students. It helped them gain practical insights into the functioning of a primary school and strengthened their understanding of the professional role and responsibilities of a teacher.

UNICEF Day Observation – Video Presentation

The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in collaboration with the Eco Club, observed UNICEF Day by organizing a Video Presentation programme on 11 December 2025 at 9:00 PM through the Google Meet platform.

The programme was conducted under the general coordination of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE. The IQAC coordination was undertaken by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, and the programme coordination was efficiently handled by Ms. Namitha T, Assistant Professor, MCCTE.

The highlight of the programme was a video presentation delivered by Ms. Sreenanda B, First Year Biological Science student. The presentation focused on the role of UNICEF in promoting child rights, child welfare, education, health, and environmental awareness across the globe. The video effectively highlighted UNICEF’s initiatives aimed at ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable future for children.

The session was informative and engaging, encouraging participants to reflect on their responsibility towards protecting children’s rights and promoting environmental sustainability. Active participation and appreciation from students and faculty members marked the success of the programme.

The programme concluded with a note of appreciation for the presenter and organisers. The UNICEF Day observation served as a meaningful platform to spread awareness and reinforce the values of social responsibility and environmental consciousness among student teachers.
