National Mathematics Day Celebration – Mathmagic
The Mathematics Association of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a programme titled “Mathmagic” in connection with National Mathematics Day. The programme was conducted on 15 December 2022 with the aim of promoting interest and enthusiasm for mathematics among students.
The celebration was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose contributions to mathematics are widely recognized. The programme highlighted the beauty and creativity of mathematics and encouraged students to explore mathematical ideas in an enjoyable way.
As part of the event, several mathematics-based games and activities were conducted. A Math Quiz was organized to test the knowledge and problem-solving abilities of the participants. Students actively engaged in various fun activities such as “π = θ,” “Cos I Love You,” “√2 Success,” and other interactive mathematical games. These activities made learning mathematics enjoyable and helped students develop logical thinking and analytical skills.
The programme created a lively atmosphere where students enthusiastically participated and appreciated the fascinating aspects of mathematics. It also helped in fostering teamwork, creativity, and a positive attitude towards the subject.
The Mathmagic programme concluded successfully with active participation from students, making the celebration both educational and entertaining.
