National Energy Conservation Day
The Biological Science Department of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a programme in connection with National Energy Conservation Day on 14 December 2022. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy and promoting sustainable practices in everyday life.
As part of the programme, a talk was delivered by Ms. Akshaya K, who explained the significance of energy conservation in protecting natural resources and ensuring environmental sustainability. She highlighted simple and effective ways to save energy, such as reducing electricity consumption, using energy-efficient appliances, and adopting responsible habits in daily life.
In addition to the talk, a poster making activity was organized to encourage students to creatively express ideas related to energy conservation. Students actively participated and designed informative posters highlighting the need to save energy and protect the environment.
The programme also included games and interactive activities, which made the event lively and engaging for the participants. These activities helped reinforce the message of energy conservation in an enjoyable manner.
The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students, spreading awareness about the importance of conserving energy for a sustainable future.
