Maths Association Inauguration
The Maths Association of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe was inaugurated on 25 February 2022 (Friday) at 10:00 AM in the College Auditorium. The programme was organized with the objective of promoting interest in mathematics and encouraging students to develop analytical and logical thinking skills.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The chief guest of the function was Mr. Gafoor I, Assistant Professor in Mathematics, NAM College, Kallikkandy. He formally inaugurated the Maths Association and addressed the gathering.
In his inaugural speech, Mr. Gafoor I highlighted the importance of mathematics in everyday life and emphasized how mathematical thinking helps in problem-solving and decision-making. He also motivated the students to develop curiosity and creativity in learning mathematics and encouraged them to actively participate in the activities organized by the association.
The programme also included remarks from faculty members and coordinators, who expressed their hopes that the Maths Association would provide a platform for students to explore mathematical ideas through various academic activities such as quizzes, seminars, and competitions.
The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, faculty members, and students for their participation and support in making the programme a success. The event marked the beginning of various innovative and enriching activities under the Maths Association for the academic year.
