The Physics Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted a Quiz Competition on 16 May 2024 at 9:45 AM. The programme aimed to enhance students’ interest in physics, promote healthy academic competition, and strengthen their conceptual understanding through an engaging quiz activity.
The event began with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who highlighted the importance of quizzes in developing quick thinking, scientific awareness, and teamwork. Students participated in teams, competing across multiple rounds that included basic physics concepts, numerical problems, recent scientific developments, and application-based questions.
The quiz featured warm-up rounds, rapid-fire rounds, and buzzer rounds, adding excitement and encouraging active participation. Students demonstrated enthusiasm and strong subject knowledge throughout the competition. Faculty members served as judges and ensured fairness in scoring.
The event created an energetic learning environment, motivating students to revise concepts, think critically, and appreciate the practical relevance of physics. It also helped participants improve confidence and problem-solving skills.
At the end of the programme, the winning team was announced and appreciated for their remarkable performance. All participants were acknowledged for their active involvement and sportsmanship.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principal, faculty coordinators, and students for their support in making the event a successful and enriching experience.
