TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE

The Environmental Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Tree Planting Initiative on 5th June 2024 at 10:00 AM in observance of World Environment Day. The programme aimed to promote greenery, environmental conservation, and awareness about the importance of afforestation.
The event began with a welcome address, highlighting the significance of World Environment Day and the need to take collective action to protect the environment. Students were encouraged to understand the critical role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, and supporting biodiversity.
As part of the initiative, students and faculty members planted saplings in designated areas of the campus. Participants took part enthusiastically, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. The activity emphasized:
