Jingle Jamboree – Christmas Celebration

The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe organized “Jingle Jamboree”, a Christmas Celebration, on 20 December 2022 as part of Rhapsody 2022. The programme aimed to spread the spirit of Christmas and promote joy, unity, and togetherness among students and faculty members.

The celebration included several entertaining and creative activities. One of the highlights of the programme was the Christmas Crib Competition, where students displayed beautifully decorated cribs representing the birth of Jesus Christ. The cribs reflected creativity, teamwork, and devotion.

A Carol Competition was also conducted as part of the celebration. Students enthusiastically participated and presented traditional Christmas carols, filling the atmosphere with festive cheer and melodious music.

In addition to these events, various games and fun activities were organized to engage the participants and make the celebration lively and enjoyable. The Christmas Friend activity added excitement to the programme as students exchanged gifts and greetings, strengthening friendship and goodwill among them.

The programme created a joyful festive atmosphere on the campus and provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity. The Jingle Jamboree Christmas Celebration concluded successfully with active participation and cheerful moments shared by everyone. 🎄

College Union and Fine Arts Inauguration

The College Union and Fine Arts Inauguration of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe was conducted on 17 December 2022 at 10:00 AM in the MCCTE College Auditorium. The programme was organized to formally inaugurate the activities of the College Union and the Fine Arts Club for the academic year and to encourage students to actively participate in cultural and extracurricular activities.

The function was attended by faculty members and students, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere in the auditorium. The inauguration marked the beginning of various student-led activities, cultural programmes, and creative initiatives that aim to nurture the talents and leadership qualities of the students.

As part of the celebration, a musical evening was organized at 2:00 PM, performed by the Aathma Music Band. National Mathematics Day Celebration – Mathmagic

The Mathematics Association of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a programme titled “Mathmagic” in connection with National Mathematics Day. The programme was conducted on 15 December 2022 with the aim of promoting interest and enthusiasm for mathematics among students.

The celebration was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose contributions to mathematics are widely recognized. The programme highlighted the beauty and creativity of mathematics and encouraged students to explore mathematical ideas in an enjoyable way.

As part of the event, several mathematics-based games and activities were conducted. A Math Quiz was organized to test the knowledge and problem-solving abilities of the participants. The Biological Science Department of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a programme in connection with National Energy Conservation Day on 14 December 2022. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy and promoting sustainable practices in everyday life.

As part of the programme, a talk was delivered by Ms. Akshaya K, who explained the significance of energy conservation in protecting natural resources and ensuring environmental sustainability. She highlighted simple and effective ways to save energy, such as reducing electricity consumption, using energy-efficient appliances, and adopting responsible habits in daily life.

National Flag Day Celebration

The Social Science Department of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a programme in connection with National Flag Day on 7 December 2022 at 9:30 AM in the First Year General Class. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the significance of the Indian National Flag and to promote patriotism and respect for national symbols.

As part of the celebration, a talk was delivered by Ms. Neeraja P. H, who explained the history, importance, and symbolism of the Indian National Flag. She highlighted the meaning of the tricolour and the Ashoka Chakra, emphasizing the values of courage, peace, truth, and progress represented by the flag. The session helped students understand the importance of respecting national symbols and strengthening their sense of national identity.

In addition to the talk, a quiz competition was conducted by Ms. Nihara V. K. The quiz included questions related to the Indian National Flag, national symbols, and important historical facts. Students actively participated in the quiz, making the programme interactive and engaging.

The Mathematics Department of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a programme to celebrate World Soil Day on 5 December. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of soil conservation and environmental sustainability.

Women Cell Programme 2022

The Women Cell of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe organized a programme on 2 December 2022 at 1.30 PM in the MCCTE Auditorium to create awareness about sexual harassment of women. The programme aimed to sensitize students about gender equality, women’s safety, and the importance of creating a respectful and secure environment for women in society.

As part of the programme, a movie screening related to the theme was arranged to help students understand the seriousness of sexual harassment and its impact on women’s lives. The film effectively conveyed messages about respect, dignity, and the need to stand against any form of harassment or discrimination.

In addition to the movie screening, students presented a mime performance highlighting the issue of sexual harassment and the struggles faced by women. The silent performance creatively portrayed the emotional and social challenges experienced by victims and emphasized the need for awareness and collective responsibility in addressing such issues.
